Milestone Inc (www.milestonesci.com) is a recognized leader in the field of microwave technology for sample preparation of metals and organic analysis headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut. We are expanding our applications department and currently have an opening for an entry level chemist. and looking for a dynamic individual with a chemistry background to join our friendly professional team based in our Shelton headquarters.
Responsibilities:
• On-Site and remote installations and training
• Telephone and site service support for Milestone clients
• Method development for customer samples and subsequent report generation
• Present technology to the marketplace and field sales for product demonstrations, seminars, training and workshops
Candidates should possess the following attributes:
• BS Chemistry
• Ability to present technical information in an instructional and enthusiastic manner
• Highly motivated, ability to multi-task and is able to work independently
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude to complement chemistry skills
• Ability to travel (up to 50%)
• Ability to work with others in a strong team environment
• Customer service or client support skills
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Education/Training
Degree: Bachelors degree preferred in chemistry or closely related science
Experience
0 – 2 years experience as a chemist in an analytical or other laboratory setting. Will consider a recent graduate with relevant educational background and/or experience
Location: Shelton, CT
Compensation: $38K to $42K/year depending on experience
